Abstract [sv]
Semi-natural grasslands are one of the most species rich environments in Sweden. Many of these species are today threatened. In recent years it has become common to restore overgrown semi-natural grasslands. The aim of this inventory was to investigate what values a number of overgrown semi-natural grasslands have left and from these results try to form an opinion of how valuable restoration might be. The place for our inventory is Hylte district in Halland. Some pastures only need thinning and extended grazing. In other areas a lot of trees have to be cut down and it can take a long time before species benefited by pasture may be able to come back. Of the 20 positive indicator species, (vascular plants), we had chosen we found 11. We have found several species that indicate that at least some of the areas are still relatively valuable and therefore worthy to restore.
