Abstract [en]
The master’s thesis is commissioned by the division “Away From Home Tissue” at SCA. The objective was to develop and design two paper dispensers that are to be used in the industry for hanging of paper rolls. The products should express the Tork brand values and be developed to suit the users and the user environment. Methods used to reach the result were e.g. qualitative observations and interviews, function analysis for processing and analyzing requirements and needs, and brainstorming and sketching for generation of ideas. The result of the project is a family of three dispensers; a floor, a wall and an under-the-bench dispenser. The products are designed as a family which mediates the same values through shape and function and cover different user needs and requirements. They heighten, enhance and set off SCA’s image as being a quality company that cares for, and is close to, its customers.
