Abstract [en]
Boccia is one of the largest sports for disabled in Sweden, to the amount of players. The sport is played all over the world; some play for fun and some aim high for World Championships or Paralympics. The assistive devices for Boccia are today inadequate but with our product-Pro Python, the players will be able to play by themselves. Pro Python will make the players more independent and they will have the possibility to reach higher in the sport. The self-esteem and self-confidence will be improved by the new abilities. Disabled all around the world will be able to play with our product and that can make a big difference in their life. With a scholarship from Sida we did a minor field study, a comparison between the situation for disabled in Thailand and Sweden. This study was the foundation for our final thesis in New Product Development.
