Abstract [sv]
this essay is a study of the language used in contact ads. It’s a description of the content of the information that each word and each sentence gives. It is also a description of disposition, clichés, emotions and values all brought to the reader by the advertiser. The study is based on 300 contact ads collected from a local paper, a tabloid and a gay magazine. The study also includes interviews with fourteen people. The question, to which this essay gives an answer, is: What are the characteristics for the language in contact ads?
