Abstract [en]

At this time humanity is generating energy through several sources; windpower, solarpower,water power, nuclear power and geothermic power, of which most are well established. Whatdoes not quite keep up in the development is waterpower at sea. There are existing pilotprojects, but generally the old turbines dominate the field and it´s time for that to change!The goal for this project has been to investigate, test and create several different models fornew power plants. The result of this data lead to a prototype. This prototype was developmentand tested in an both a real and an artificial environment, this prototype is adapted to generateenergy from flowing water all over the globe, with environment and animals in mind. Thisprototype turned out to have a capacity to generate up to 1175 kWh per year, during optimalcircumstances. At the time of calculation this would correspond to 1142kr. This means thatthe cost of materials for the product would repay itself within 14 months, but if you wouldconsider the cost of maintenance and installation it would instead result in a cost of 3926krper year. Although this was at one specific implementation and there are lots of otheralternatives for implementation that could result in more positive outcomes.The project group worked for a year to achieve a result that proves the concept to bemechanically sound and shows a possibility to be commercially sound.
