Abstract [sv]

Almost half of the Swedish population have pain in their neck or shoulders because of too sedentary lives. The employers should offer their employees a healthy and promotive environment for psysical activity. The aim of this study was to examine how the participators of a keep-fit projekt at IKEA SVENSKA AB have apprehended the projekt out of their own experiences. The project allows the participators to exercise once a week during working hours. Nine interviews were made and the informants volunteerly took part of the interviews. The results showed that all informants had a positive attitude towords the project and wanted it to be continued. Two opinions were that it was a nice variation of activities and that it was a great possibility to exercise during working hours. One wish was that some kind of participation list should show how many took part each week. The reasons to participate were different, but to loose weight and become more psysically active were two aspects. All informants meant that health is a wide conception wiht psysical, mental and social components. More know-ledge is required about what make people become more physically active and what make them keep their new behaviour. More evaluations of keep-fit projects would make it easier for projects in the future.
