Abstract [sv]

This telephone product turns towards the private subscriber and contains many attractive features, such as visualising of the phone costs (the cost for the call in progress and the total cost since a specific date), the time for the call, route selector (automatically choice of the cheapest telecom operator for the current call), caller ID, phone book, block functions, statistics etc. The system consists of one central tariff server, containing a program that handles the different telecom operators’ tariffs and a unit placed at the telephone subscriber’s home nearby the phone. The unit connects to the server at regular intervals and downloads thereafter the latest tariffs. External design and internal and external logic of the unit has been an important part in the work to create an attractive and user friendly product. Furthermore consideration has been taken to mediate an expression to be a high tech and high qualitative product.
