The aim of this study was to explore sleep problems among children with ADHD, and further on explore children´s experiences of aspects influencing their sleep and children´s experienceces of the influence of sleep on their everyday life. This was an explorative studywith qualitative content analysis, which included 21 interviews with children, 6-12 years old, with sleep problems and ADHD. The results shows that children´s experience of sleep problems and ADHD, emerged by 1) everyday routines influencing sleep initiation by performing physical activities, finding a peaceful place, creating evening routines, and using digital technologies, 2) sleep quality influence everyday function by functioning in school, and managing leisure time. The conclusion of this study is that children with sleep problems and ADHD needs well-adjusted everyday routines, supported by parents, to have better conditions to have a good sleep initiation. It emerged that the children had a harder time dealing with everyday functions after a night with poor sleep quality. It is of great importance for these children to find individual general resistance resources to be able to deal with their everyday life´s affected by sleep problems.
