Abstract [sv]
During the last years the situation for our companies have been more and more intense, the climate is turbulent, the bobbles have collapsed and many companies are being forced to reduction in staff. A strategy for increased competitiveness and security can be a consolidation between two or several companies. This assay has focused on acquisition of small firms that before consolidation was runned by the owner. This will be done by focusing on the process of integration seen from the time before consolidation, during integration and the time after. The purpose with this essay is to identify, describe and analyze the integration process and illustrate key-factors that affects the smaller company during a consolidation. The result have shown to be interesting since the author have been able to identify certain success factors and pitfalls in addition to what already existing theory say.
