Abstract [sv]

The plan of this project was to replace the old-fashioned controlling system, which operates the machines today. But after educational visits where they have a system to control the most imaginable tings in the factory, the vision of a complete system grew and it turned out to be two goals in this project. One of the goals was to solve the problem with the old-fashioned system in the factory. This system is built on Alma 46 which is old and needs replacement because there are no spare parts to find any longer. This project has solved the first goal by getting a PLC-system and programming that in a proper way. The other goal is to create a platform, which should be fundamental for coming needs in a bigger system. By buying the right equipment, replacing the old-fashioned one, you also get the platform for future development of the system. Besides the different functions that are programmed in this PLC-system, is an important part to continue building a complete system in order to save energy seems possible.
