Abstract [sv]

Using the Internet when you want to buy something has become more and more popular. The consumers are more active when they want to buy something and the price of a particular service or article is becoming more and more important to the consumer. Finding a lower price is very important to most consumers and to achieve that the Internet has proved to be a good place to find sites that have a price comparison. These types of sites have grown to be popular very fast, especially in the U.S.. Price comparison sites that include links and data about these links handle great quantities of data. To store and handle all this data the sites need to have access to a database. If the update of all this data should be done in a good way, the page needs to be made so it can be updated dynamically. To solve this problem, Active Server Pages (ASP) can be used to create the site together with some script language, for example VBScript. To have a dynamic site is very good and it helps the user and the administrator of the site to handle the information in a nice way. This project involves constructing a dynamic web page particularly intended for price comparison. The page is connected to a database, where all information is stored and can be updated by means of the web page.
