Our assignment was to produce a module that handles the communication between the operating panel MAC E700 and the Siemens Simatic S% PLC. Our principal and partner in this project was Beijer Electronics in Malmö. Intergrate the module into the MAC E700’s existing code and produce a working prototype. To suceed in this we had the existing Siemens communicationprotocol named 3964R and all available information abour the MAC E700 at our disposal. The work mainly meant to analyse already existing code and from the parameters and the conditions specified in the protocol design and produce a module in the programminglanguage ANSI-C. We have at the appointed time managed to produce a working prototype.
