Halmstad University, School of Business and Engineering (SET).
2002 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year))Student thesis
Abstract [sv]
Businesses are increasingly organised around processes. People can become more effective by understanding the importance of processes in which they are involved. The product development process has been called the “engine of renewal” for the 1990s and beyond. The ability to reduce the development time for products is important. In order to increase the effectiveness of the product development process continues improvements are necessary. The aim of the thesis is to increase our knowledge and understanding about implementing changes in product development processes. The thesis is mainly based on a case study. The study documents the, in the process involved, individuals’ view of the change process, the nature of the situation after the change efforts and comments about implementation of changes in the future. The conclusion and discussion highlights the important aspects to take into consideration when implementing changes in product development processes.
