Abstract [sv]
The purpose of this study was to investigate how different motivationsfactors influence a structured goalsettingsprogram. Furthermore, to see which backgroundsvariables that influence the way the program was made, and if the whole process was seen a positiv or negativ way. The approach of this qualitive study was to see how the 8 male runners motivation was in fluenced by three parts of the social-cognitive perspective, cognition, affection and performance. The level of the subjects in the experiment varied between subelit and joggers, the middle age was 39,4. After a common introduction they were told to put up a structured goalsettingsprogram that would continue for 6 weeks. The result showed that no test´s had been carried out on the performance so motivitation had to valued by two other perspectives. It cleared out that all runners was influenced in some way, but the grade varied depending on different backgroundvaribles. The view of development in the runningsituation and former use of any kind of stuctured goalsetting was for how the program was set up. The ones who did this in a structured way had more positive attitude for the process and saw the inking of goals as a form of development. Any direct influence on the motivitation couldn´t be gathered. Those who didn´t percive the period as a change as things stand today, may have benifit of it in the future in different areas.
