Abstract [sv]

The task was to design an orthos for medial epicondylitis (golfers elbow), an inflammation in the common flexor origion on humerus distal, medial end. The orthos is supposed to prevent the movements in the wristjoint (palmarflexion and ulnardeviation), that couses the pain. The orthos also has to allow a normal grip around a golf club. The orthos is made lika a glove, with two wide Velcro fastening around th forearm to stabilize the orthos on the forearm and to prevent ulnardeviation. To prevent wrist flexion a ribbon, from the back of the hand, is drawn to a Velcro on the forearm. Over the back of the hand there is a list, in orthoplastics, to make the fabrics not pleating. The orthos is made in Darlexx, a oniplastic, breathable, waterproof and windproof fabrics.
